Privacy Notice

1. Who we are

This site (terrak.ai) is currently operated by Salasar Balaji Ship Breakers Private Limited (registered office: 401, The Summit Business Park, Andheri East, Mumbai 400093, Maharashtra, India), the parent operating company for the Terrakai brand family. Operations will transfer to Terrakai Recycling Private Limited upon completion of its incorporation (MCA filing in progress). For data-protection purposes under the DPDP Act 2023, the Data Fiduciary is the entity named above as of the date of this notice.

2. What we collect today

Terra K•ai is a single-page site with a contact form, a WhatsApp link, and an email link. We collect personal data only when you choose to initiate contact with us, plus the standard server-log metadata our hosting provider records.

• — Contact form submissions — when you use the “Get in touch” form, we collect your name, email address, and the content of your message, so we can reply. The form is delivered to our inbox via Web3Forms (see §4).
• — WhatsApp + email links — the WhatsApp click-to-chat link and the mailto: email link open your own messaging client. No data flows through this site when you use them; your message goes directly via WhatsApp or your email provider. WhatsApp’s and your email provider’s own policies apply.
• — Server logs — our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records request metadata (IP address, user-agent, timestamp, URL) for security and abuse prevention. We do not aggregate or analyse these logs for marketing.

When a newsletter or analytics land on this site, this notice will be updated before that data flow goes live.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We set no cookies of our own at this time. The site uses no analytics, no advertising, and no profiling. If we add analytics in future, it will be consent-gated — nothing fires until you explicitly allow it, and you can change that choice at any time.

4. Who processes data on our behalf

We use a small set of external service providers (Data Processors under the DPDP Act) to operate this site.

5. Cross-border transfers

Cloudflare, Inc. (United States), Google LLC (United States), and Web3Forms (United States) operate globally distributed networks; in serving this site and delivering contact form submissions to our inbox, request metadata and form content may be processed outside India, including in the United States. Under §16 of the DPDP Act 2023, read with Rule 15 of the DPDP Rules 2025, personal data may be transferred to any country except those notified by the Central Government as restricted. As of the date of this notice, no country has been so notified.

6. How long we keep data

• — Contact form submissions — kept in our email inbox for up to 90 days after the query is resolved, then deleted unless an ongoing business relationship warrants longer retention (in which case standard records-retention applies).
• — Server logs — up to 1 year, in line with CERT-In Directions 20(3)/2022 (currently in force) which require ICT system logs to be retained for 180 days within India, and to support DPDP Rule 6 logging-and-monitoring safeguards (substantive obligations enforceable from 13 May 2027).

7. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act 2023 (India), once substantive Phase 3 obligations commence on 13 May 2027, you will have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data we hold, withdraw consent where consent is the basis, nominate another to exercise your rights on your behalf, have a grievance addressed (DPDP Rule 14 — we respond within 90 days), and complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Because we currently hold no personal data from visitors other than server-log metadata, most of these rights will become more substantively meaningful as the site matures. The contact below is live regardless.

8. How to exercise your rights / file a grievance

We acknowledge receipt promptly and respond within the grievance ceiling set by DPDP Rule 14 (a maximum of 90 days), faster where the request allows.

9. Children

This site is intended for general professional audiences. It is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child.

10. Security

We apply reasonable security safeguards consistent with DPDP Rule 6: transport encryption (HTTPS), a strict Content-Security-Policy, and a documented incident-response procedure inherited from the broader Terrakai compliance baseline.

11. Updates to this notice

We will update this notice as the site matures and new data flows land (analytics, contact channels, a newsletter, etc.). Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised “last updated” date.
